Dr Qaiser Malik is a consultant MSK radiologist who is also level II trained to do Cardiac CT. Dr Malik is a substantive consultant at Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital NHS Trust where he leads the department of 25 Radiologists and 100 other staff with a budget of over £10m. He also leads the MSK imaging service and has introduced many innovative treatment pathways including PRP injections.
Dr Malik is an executive committee member of the British Society of Skeletal Radiologists and is on the Scientific Programme Committee of the Royal College of Radiologists. Dr Malik is also the editor of the Royal College of Radiologists Newsletter which is a quarterly journal.
Dr Malik enjoys teaching and lectures extensively Nationally and Internationally. He has organised many MSK study days for the Royal College and has taught on practical hands-on ultrasound courses. He is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at UCL Medical School. He was awarded the prestigious ‘Top Teacher Award’ 2015 for his commitment to teaching.
Dr Malik has a specialist interest in MSK Sports Imaging and has provided expert imaging for elite athletes, including international cricketers, premier league and championship footballers and top 10 tennis players.
